National Police Chief General Bambang Hendarso Danuri in a sudden move installed two new regional police command chiefs at the National Police Headquarters here on Monday.Bambang Hendarso installed Inspector General Sutarman as the chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command to replace Inspector General Timur Pradopo and Inspector General Parni Parto as chief of the West Java Regional Police Command to replace Inspector General Sutarman. Timur Pradopo meanwhile has been named chief of the National Police’s Security Maintenance Agency and received a three-star rank.
"Congratulation to Inspector General Timur Pradopo who is trusted to be the chief of the National Police’s Security Maintenance Agency which is quite a heavy mandate that you general have to carry out," General Bambang Hendarso Danuri said.
He also thanked Timur Pradopo who had shown strong loyalty while chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command and therefore had been promoted as chief of the National Police’s Security Maintenance. Danuri said this was a normal process of regeneration in the police force.
