On the brink of departing to China and Vietnam, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has left assignments for his men to keep handling flash flood restoration in Wasior, Papua Barat as well as anticipating the eruption of Mount Merapi in Central Java in a good way.As to the disaster recovery plan in Wasior, the president instructed Coordinating Ministry for People's Welfare and National Agency for Disaster Management/BNPB to have temporary settlements for the victims before setting rehabilitation and reconstruction programs.
"Coordinating Ministry for People's Welfare and National Agency for Disaster and BNPB will be assisted by the Military Chief to have the temporary settlements and the recovery plan done. I hope this can be accomplished based on the schedule," said the president at a press conference in Halim Perdanakusuma airbase, Jakarta, on Oct 25, 2010.
The president escorted by a delegation among which consisting of Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa and Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa exposed his agenda on his five-day visit in China and Vietnam besides mentioning several measures needed to be taken by his men to proactively anticipate the eruption of Mount Merapi by considering the latest activities of it
