Gayus Tambunan Busted and Sent back to Jakarta

Gayus Tambunan who escaped to Singapore was arrested in Mandarin Meritus Hotel, Singapore and will be flown to Jakarta from Changi Airport, Wednesday. According to the Secretary of Judicial Corruption Eradication Task Force Denny Indrayana who is in Singapore, Gayus was arrested by a joint team of trans-national crime directorate and the task force last night.

Deny Indrayana who was accompanied by his partner from the task force Mas Ahmad Santosa were having dinner at Asian Food Mall, Lucky Plaza, Orchad Road, Singapura, at 08:30 pm local time when they coincidentally saw Gayus Tambunan was about to have dinner at the same place.

"Right after that, the task force called National Police detective chief Comr. Gen. Ito Sumardi who has arrived earlier in Singapore to let him know Gayus' whereabout."

Denny added that the task force and Sr. Comr. M. Iriawan, the deputy chief of trans-national crime directorate persuaded and convinced Gayus to be cooperative to face criminal charges back home. After taking a two-hour dialog, Gayus was finally convinced that going back to his country is the best choice of his being a fugitive in Singapore. (KOMPAS.com)
