JAKARTA LIFE'S STYLE. Indonesia to receive a grant formed in Special Drawing Rights (SDR) worth SDR 1.74 billion, or equals to 2.7 billion U.S. dollars, from the International Monetary Funds (IMF), the Detik.com newsportal reported.

According to Hartadi Sarwono, the Indonesian Central Bank deputy governor, the SDR fund is allocated to help IMF's country members in dealing with the impact of crisis.

"The fund is not loan assistance provided by the IMF like it was received by the Indonesian government during the crisis that hit the country in late 90s," he said.

Hartadi said that the fund would be allocated to strengthen the central bank's fund reserves.

The fund will be transferred to the central bank on Aug. 28, he added.
