Rendra's daughter Clara Shinta said her father passed away around 8.30 p.m. at her home in Pesona Kayangan Depok, kompas.com reported. He had been treated at several hospitals recently for coronary heart disease.
"Bapak (father) passed away at around 8.30 p.m after being fed with porridge and drink," Clara said. So far, there has been no information on plans of Rendra's burial procession. Several sources told kompas.com that his theater in Citayam, Depok, is being prepared to be the place where his body will be buried.
