BOM JW MARRIOT-RIZT CARLTON: Terror Suspect's ID Announced Today

JAKARTA LIFE'S STYLE. The Indonesian police said it would announce the identity of the terrorist suspect killed in Temanggung, Central Java, on Wednesday. "Tomorrow at 9 am we will announce the result of DNA tests at the police hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta," the national police’s head of public relations division, Inspector General Nanan Soekarna, said here on Tuesday.

Besides the body of the terrorist suspect from Temanggung, the police hospital also keeps four other terrorist susptect bodies namely of Air Setiawan, Eko Joko Sarjono, Dani Dwi Permana and Nana Ikhwan Maulana. Air and Eko were killed during a police raid on a house at Puri Nusapala housing complex in Jatiasih, Bekasi, on July 7.

The police shot them while they were about to through a bomb at the police who came to arrest them. Police said the two would-be suicide bombers planned to act in the middle of August.

Dani and Nana meawnhile were the ones conducting suicide bombings respectively at JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels last July 17 that left nine people dead and more than 50 wounded.

The terrorist suspect killed in Temanggung has so far been mentioned as Noordin M Top who is considered to be the most responsible for the recent bombings as well as earlier bombings in the country. He was killed during a firefight and after being under siege for 18 hours. Nanan said the police would immediately hand over the bodies to their families after DNA tests were done.
